A Place to Learn
About Your Own Money
Padi was built on the belief that financial understanding should come without pressure, without jargon, and without anyone pushing you toward a product.
Back to HomeHow Padi Came About
Padi started in Seremban in 2017 after its founders — a retired civil servant and a former bank officer — noticed that many of their peers in their 40s and 50s were navigating major financial decisions without a clear picture of their own situation. Statements from KWSP sat unread. The difference between a wasiat and a hibah was a mystery. Retirement felt like something for other people to sort out.
They wanted to create a learning space that felt more like sitting down with a knowledgeable friend than attending a financial seminar. No slides selling unit trusts. No urgency. Just clear, steady explanations of the things that matter — at a pace that suits adults who have full lives and do not need someone treating them like beginners.
The name Padi — the rice plant, the staple of Malaysian life — reflects that approach. Growth that is patient. Nourishment that is plain and real. A crop that rewards steady tending over time.
What We Believe
-
Understanding comes before decisions
We help people understand their situation first. Any decisions they make afterward are entirely their own.
-
Plain language is a form of respect
We never use complexity to impress or confuse. If something can be said simply, we say it simply.
-
No product affiliation, ever
Padi does not earn commission from any financial product. We have no incentive to steer you in any direction.
-
Your pace is the right pace
Our sessions are designed so that nobody feels rushed or left behind. You are free to ask, to reflect, and to take things slowly.

How We Maintain Quality
Every aspect of our delivery is shaped around clarity, accuracy, and the trust our participants place in us.
Content Review Cycle
All programme materials are reviewed twice yearly to reflect changes in EPF rules, PRS regulations, and estate law in Malaysia.
Educator Standards
Our educators come from professional backgrounds in banking, civil service, or legal administration — not sales. They are selected for their ability to explain, not to persuade.
Post-Session Feedback
Each cohort completes a short written review after every session. We read every response and use it to improve the next intake.
Privacy Protection
Participant information is held securely and used only for session administration. We do not share contact details with any third party.
Small Group Sizes
We cap each cohort at twelve participants so that every person can ask questions comfortably and receive individual attention where needed.
Registered Education Provider
Padi is registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) as a continuing education provider, operating within Negeri Sembilan.
Financial Education Built Around Malaysian Life
Padi's programmes centre on the financial structures that shape retirement and later-life planning in Malaysia — primarily the Employees Provident Fund (EPF/KWSP), the Private Retirement Scheme (PRS), and estate instruments such as wasiat and hibah. These are topics that affect most working Malaysians in their 40s and 50s directly, yet they are rarely explained in plain terms outside of a sales context.
Our Seremban-based sessions draw participants from across Negeri Sembilan — Seremban, Nilai, Port Dickson, Bahau, and surrounding areas. We also work with HR departments at local employers who want to offer financial literacy sessions as part of staff welfare programmes. If you represent an employer or community organisation, you are welcome to contact us to discuss group arrangements.
Our approach draws on the almanac of patient cultivation — the idea that financial wellbeing, like a healthy field, develops when tended with care over time. No shortcuts. No shortcuts claimed. Just steady, honest learning that leaves each person better equipped to look at their own picture clearly.
